Widely regarded as one of the most collectible American cars ever built, the 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback helped launch the pony car era and remains one of the most recognized classics in the world. Factory A-Code GT Fastbacks are especially sought after thanks to their V8 performance, iconic styling, and strong collector following. This California car has just emerged from long-term ownership and has been off the road since the late 1990s. Powered by its 289 V8 engine and automatic transmission, the engine turns freely by hand but is not currently running. Factory-equipped with power steering and power brakes, it also features front disc brakes, rear drums, and retains its original Honey Gold exterior and Gold & White interior color combination. The interior is largely complete, including the original front bucket seats and rear folding fastback seat, though restoration will be required. Most of the glass is present and in good condition, and the car is accompanied by additional parts.
